Ocean Life Education ‘Brings the Sea to You’ with fun environmental education programs designed to inspire students of all ages to appreciate and take responsibility for the marine ecosystem. Ocean Life marine educators arrive with fascinating live marine animals, artifacts, games and information, blending ‘hands on’ interaction with science and humour.

Ocean Life Education offers a variety of education programs for Child Care Centres, Schools and interested Adult Groups. Our interactive syllabus aims to impact the learner’s attitudes, beliefs and behaviours with the long term outcome being sustainability of our marine environment.

The marine educators discuss classification, biology, adaptation, ecology and conservation as well as addressing environmental issues such as global warming/climate change, pollution, whaling, over fishing, canal land development, coral bleaching and beach erosion.

The curriculum content of the programs incorporate core learning outcomes at the appropriate level for Science and SOSE, students enjoy the program so much they will be talking about it for days! Currently the Ocean Life Education programs are only available to the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane area.

Launched exclusively on the Sunshine Coast in 2006; the Ocean Life Education mission is to create enjoyment, raise awareness and reveal the fascinating world of the marine environment. Vital to future sustainability, our vision is to imprint a sense of ownership and protectiveness of our oceans onto children which they will carry with them into responsible adulthood.

Our professional team of marine educators maintain scientific and education backgrounds and are highly motivated, experienced and enthusiastic.  Each of our educator’s holds a current blue card for working with children.

Ocean Life Education is committed to making a difference, with the belief that early awareness and understanding form a basis for life-long learning and appreciation of our marine environment. As a result of the high demand for our programs, Ocean Life Education expanded in 2007 to include the Brisbane area.
