Early in the 1980's Alex Martini made a name for himself as a salesperson working in the dominant agency in Townsville 'John Bartletts' Real Estate. As Bartlett's focus moved to South Queensland, Alex seeing the potential in Kirwan and annoyed by the big company mentality among existing firms, established his own business in the newly emerging suburb.
